Mission and History
Trends Charitable Fund Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Trends Charitable Fund (TCF) to support programs in need that positively impact women, children and their families where TCF can make a significant difference.
Trends Charitable Fund History
The Trends Charitable Fund (TCF) was established in 1996 and has distributed more than $2.5 million to charities since its inception. The TCF governing board is composed of nine prominent Valley women who are elected to a three-year term. These women are selected from a group of TCF members-at-large who were previously honored by Trends magazine as Fashionalities/Trendsetters for their leadership, commitment and contributions to our community.
Each year, the TCF Board of Directors grants funds to charities that meet the TCF mission. Its priorities are agencies based in and servicing the metropolitan Phoenix area that exhibit a true need for funds and public awareness. Funds to support these programs are generated by two annual events: the Beat the Heat gala (scheduled this year for October 4 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort) and the TCF Celebrity Luncheon (which was held April 10, 2008 at The Phoenician).
