Grant Application Selection/Screening Process

Each year, the TCF Board awards grants from funds netted from two annual events:  These are Beat the Heat and the TCF Celebrity Luncheon.

The TCF Vice-President is always the Grant Applications Chairman. Beginning in April, a letter/postcard is mailed to all Trendsetters informing them that the TCF is now accepting applications for Grants. In addition, the letters/postcards are mailed to last year’s applicants.  Many charities are aware of our April mailing and will have already called requesting a Grant Application.

Grant applications are available May 5, and may be downloaded from this site or mailed upon request. An announcement is put in Trends indicating that Grants are available with the contact information of the Grant Chairman.

In September, copies of all Grant Applications and evaluation sheets are distributed to the Board. Approximately two weeks after the board members receive the Applications for evaluation, the first Grant Application Board Meeting is held. Additional meetings are held until the Grant Recipients are selected.

Organizations receiving funding are notified by the end of November.
